Counselling and Psychotherapy in North London

About Me

I have been in private practice offering counselling/psychotherapy in North London for 22 years, after several years working in Mental Health Services, and in that time have worked with a people from a range of nationalities and cultures, of different ages, sexualities, religions, and with varying abilities and disabilities.

I continue to be moved and changed by the many and so widely varying individuals that I have the pleasure of working with. I am still amazed by the beauty that I see and feel in the courage and vulnerability, the pain, the joy, the trust, the tears and the laughter that form part of my working life as a counsellor/psychotherapist.

I am conscious of the power invested in the role of counsellor/psychotherapist and am aware of how much damage and distress has been caused in peoples' lives through misuses or abuses of power. I am attentive therefore to how I hold my power, and respect for the rights and authority of the client is paramount in my work. Trust and meaning are core concerns of mine.

I am a Senior Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice
